What is Web Development?
Web development is a wide term that can be used to describe a number of more specific services. From developing a simple static landing page to a very complex web system – including internet applications, social network services and electronic business. These can also include website development (making a website design into a working site), creating a customs system to address a specific need, and creating a system that allows you to manage the content of a site or database (aka CMS), among many others.
What is the difference between Web Design and Web Development?
While many people use the terms interchangeably, it’s important to know their difference. Web Design is the part related to the front-end of the website, and what your customers will see when they come to your page. It is the design of the website. Web Development on the other hand includes the programming that will take place on the website. This includes the coding of the pages, applications and functions that will make your website work.
When does the Web Development start?
When it comes to developing a website, the process will start as soon as the design of the website has been agreed on. Once the initial page has been approved, the developers will start working on coding that initial page and keep the same look and feel for the remaining pages. This, of course can change depending on the project’s focus. For a database management system for example, the main focus should not to be attractiveness or the layout, but the functionality and flexibility of the system, so the development could start right away.
